A little prayer of thanks

David Hachmeister

by David Hachmeister, Owner, Care & Comfort at Home for Seniors and Veterans

As we race from Thanksgiving to Christmas, I would like to offer my personal thanks to our caregivers who do such a fabulous job and to our clients and to our families, who have placed their trust in Care and Comfort at Home for Seniors and Veterans. These relationships give us great solace when software isn’t working properly, or we are scrambling in a snowstorm to get caregivers where they need to be. These relationships give us reason to forge ahead and get creative, so that we can bypass balky software and get caregivers where they need to be.

I also want to thank the folks at the office: Carissa, Natasha, and Lauren. They seem to be mostly in the background, but I assure you, they are in the midst of it all. Like with so much of the world, what happens behind the scenes goes under-appreciated and barely noticed.

I hope you enjoy this little prayer of thanks:

We thank You for the great and small,

For secret gifts and those displayed,

For countless blessings to us all,

Enjoyed each day by those You made.

We thank you for the gift of time,

Extended through our length of days,

And so we join in prayer sublime,

Our hearts and heads with grateful praise.

There is beauty in all stages of life, including, and sometimes especially, the end. If met with thanks and faith, the end is the beginning of a time when every tear shall be wiped away.

God’s blessings and peace to all,
