On Monday, March 4, all Illinois residents can enter the Chicago History Museum for FREE! Formally known as the Chicago Historical Society, this museum tells Chicago’s story, highlighting the city’s past, present, and future. But March 4 specifically is a special day, as the museum will be celebrating Chicago’s 182nd birthday — March 4, 1837! Saturday, March 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., is “Great Western Prairie Work Day” — an opportunity to help maintain the 10,000-year-old prairie within Elmhurst. At 9 a.m., volunteers will meet at the Great Western Prairie, which is located at the intersection of Berkley Avenue and Prairie Path, just west of Spring Road. From Sunday, March 3 through Sunday, March 10, you can experience the first ever Hinsdale Restaurant Week!
